FAQs

  • We recommend arriving on Thursday to enjoy the island and ensure smooth travel before the celebration. Most guests plan to leave Sunday morning or afternoon, depending on ferry schedules.

  • March on Catalina Island is mild and sunny, with highs around the mid-60s to low-70s. Evenings can be cool, so a light jacket or wrap is recommended.

  • Our celebration will be under the open sky at the Catalina Country Club. The island evenings can be breezy during the cooler months, so we suggest dressing comfortably for the weather.

  • Our celebration will be semi-formal — think coastal chic. Light fabrics, dress shoes, and island-friendly elegance are encouraged.

  • The Catalina Country Club is just a few minutes from downtown Avalon. Guests can take a short taxi or golf cart ride, or enjoy the scenic stroll up from the harbor.

If you’re staying near the wedding crew at Hamilton Cove Villas, be sure your condo includes a golf cart for the easiest way to get around the island. Parking is available at the venue.

  • Since the wedding takes place in the evening during Catalina’s off-season, we recommend staying at least two nights to fully enjoy the island and avoid travel rushes. While a one-night stay is possible, please note that limited ferry times may make travel tighter than expected.

  • With spring break just around the corner, Catalina tends to get busier as the season begins. We recommend booking 2–3 months ahead to ensure the best travel and stay options.

  • Avalon offers many charming places to stay, but we especially recommend Hamilton Cove Villas, where much of the wedding crew will be. Most condos come with a golf cart for easy access around the island — it’s just a quick ride to the celebration and back for relaxation.

  • We love your little ones, but our wedding will be an adult-only celebration so everyone can fully relax and enjoy the evening. With the event taking place on the island, we want our guests to unwind, celebrate, and soak in the full Catalina experience.
